Porcelain mug, individually thrown, handled, carved, decorated, glazed--a real labor of love and so worth it. It's also lightweight with a comfy handle. The floral drawing has a subtle texture from the decoration process and there is delightful variation in the watercolor painting since each one is done by hand.
Every mug is handcrafted with porcelain clay, carved by hand, inlaid with black underglaze, decorated with a colored wash, and finished with a clear gloss glaze. The bottom is a dark, matte green finish and is a lovely contrast to the clean, white gloss glaze. Each piece is unique, with some variation, since everyone is created and decorated by hand.
Dimensions: approximately 3 1/2" tall x 3 3/4" wide. Holds about 11oz of liquid.
Fired cone 8 oxidation.
